FOUR interactive information points have been installed at visitor hotspots across rural Conwy.

The Conwy Rural Partnership has secured funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 for a project to install interactive tourist information points at visitor hotspots across rural Conwy and the first screen has been installed this week at Glasdir rural development centre in Llanrwst.

The project aims to boost tourism in rural areas and the touch-screen tourist information points will offer details about the huge range of things to see and do in the area.

Visitors will be able to view local accommodation, as well as up-to-date traffic information, public transport information, events and attractions, either by using the touch screen or by using their mobile phone as a remote control.

Further live content interaction and downloads are also possible to those using a smart phone, by simply scanning a unique bar code the user is able to view their selected information beyond the information point.
